What a wonderful day at Data + AI Live 2026 by Brisa Group, on 28 October.

The keynotes set the tone. Manuel Melo Ramos opened the day and Pedro Gomes Mota took us through Brisa's data and AI journey. Both made it clear that leadership is behind fazer mais e melhor com IA: doing more, and better, with AI.

The rest of the day kept that promise. It was full of real talk from leaders who are already moving the needle, and who showed how they do it.

At our round table, João Leal (CUF) and Catarina Ceitil (Trivalor) shared two impressive initiatives. At Trivalor, a group of about 23,000 workers, AI helps create sustainable food menus. It saves the teams time and reduces food waste. At CUF, AI supports doctors reading X-rays and mammograms, and CUF tracks how clinicians adopt it and what they say about it. According to CUF, the X-ray software can find up to 30% more fractures, and more than 92% of CUF's doctors report clear benefits from these AI tools.

In both cases the measurement was in place. Both created real value for the business, and both could show who else it served. Trivalor wastes less food, which serves the planet, and its teams get time back. At CUF, patients are less likely to have a fracture missed, and the clinicians who use the tool say it helps them.

Thank you, João and Catarina, for sharing so openly.

Thank you to Pedro Gomes Mota for the invitation, to Elisabete Correia for hosting the day, and to the whole Data + AI Live team at Brisa.
